What this covers

Udyam registration is the government's record of micro, small and medium enterprises. It is Aadhaar-based, links to your PAN and GST data, and takes a day to obtain.

It matters for three practical reasons: collateral-free credit under CGTMSE, reserved quotas in government tenders, and Section 43B(h) of the Income Tax Act, which disallows a buyer's deduction if they do not pay a registered micro or small enterprise within 45 days. That last one has made buyers actively ask their vendors for Udyam numbers.

We classify your enterprise correctly, file the registration and hand over the certificate.

How we handle it

Classified correctly

Micro, small or medium is decided by investment and turnover together. The wrong category costs you benefits or invites a correction later.

Filed the same day

Aadhaar-based and free of government fee. There is no reason for it to take a week.

Frequently asked

Is there a government fee?
No. Udyam registration is free on the government portal. Our fee is for classification, filing and getting it right the first time.
What are the current MSME limits?
Micro: investment up to ₹1 crore and turnover up to ₹5 crore. Small: up to ₹10 crore and ₹50 crore. Medium: up to ₹50 crore and ₹250 crore. Both conditions have to be met.
What is Section 43B(h)?
It disallows a buyer's expense deduction unless payment to a registered micro or small enterprise is made within the agreed period, capped at 45 days. It has given small suppliers real leverage on payment terms.
Do traders qualify?
Retail and wholesale traders can register on Udyam, though their benefits are limited primarily to priority sector lending rather than the full range of MSME schemes.
