What this covers

A partnership is the simplest way for two or more people to run a business together. It is governed by the Indian Partnership Act, 1932, and registration with the Registrar of Firms — while technically optional — decides whether the firm can sue to enforce its own contracts.

The deed is the whole thing. Capital, profit sharing, roles, admission and retirement of partners, and what happens on a dispute all live there.

We draft the deed, get it stamped and registered, and obtain the firm's PAN and TAN.

How we handle it

A deed that anticipates disputes

Exit, deadlock, death of a partner and admission of new partners covered — the clauses people wish they had later.

Registered, not just notarised

An unregistered firm cannot enforce contracts in court against third parties. Registration removes that handicap.

Correct stamp duty

Stamp duty varies by state and by capital. We compute and pay the right amount so the deed is not challenged.

Banking documents ready

Firm PAN, deed and registration certificate assembled in the form banks accept for a current account.

Frequently asked

Is registration compulsory?
Not strictly, but an unregistered firm cannot file a suit to enforce a contract against a third party, and a partner cannot sue the firm or other partners. In practice, registration is worth doing.
Partnership or LLP?
An LLP limits each partner's liability and has perpetual succession; a partnership does not — partners are personally liable for the firm's debts. If liability matters at all, choose the LLP.
Can a partnership be converted to an LLP or company?
Yes, both routes exist. Converting early is simpler, since asset transfers and client contract novations get harder as the business grows.
